Dina is a native of Forest Hills Queens and raised there. However, she moved into Dix Hills Long Island before the close of her junior high year. Her siblings include two younger ones and an older brother. She began her career as an entertainer when she was nine years old and did modeling. Ron Stetson trained her in the techniques used by Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse. This took about three years. The other actors who received such education include Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, and many other actors. Her first acting role came in Beverly Hills 90210. This led to her relocating in Los Angeles. The first film she appeared in was Johnny Mnemonic. She did every stunt in this film, which helped establish her as an athletic actor. Through her agent who also represents Matt LeBlanc she scored a part as a guest on Friends.
